Just finished Basilisk: The Kouga Ninja Scrolls Book 1.
Don't you hate it when you are nearing the end, and the book leaves you hanging? I hate that, yet I love it. :-)
The book is a horror Manga, and I do recommend this book as well as Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service (which is exactly what it does, delivers corpse's soul back where it belongs and all that creepy shit). The problem with Basilisk series, it's mature contents, so the books are covered with shrink paper at Barnes and Noble, so I can't exactly open and read it there. I got it off a Gift Certificate, but it's slightly more than a regular manga. I think I'll stick with Amazon or eBay if I want to get more. I checked my local library, they don't carry this stuff. Boo hoo.
Gotta start going through my books. :-)
Started knitting my scarf again, and I promised myself to FINISH the damn thing before Christmas roll around. It's for me only, so at least I have something of mine that I made.
Just found out some disturbing news from my family, so I'm a bit sad at the moment. :-( (Oh, no one died...I guess that's the good news)
Roy FINALLY, saw Indiana Jones Raiders of Lost Ark and Temple of Doom DVD. :-) I kept teasing him that Harrison Ford was my childhood crush. Hey, I didn't care how OLD he was...he was just damn cute. He has to watch the last movie. That's one movie off the AFI's Top 100 Movies list.

Roy's the Man
About 6 or 8 months ago, Roy made my bath with candles, bubble baths, and always have my book ready (yes, he still does it...sorry ladies!). On that particular day, he used a tea candle with metal bottom. We didn't think twice of it, but after I was done, there was 4 small burnt area from one tea candle. You could tell that a tea candle was there. I tried a lot of things to remove it, I even asked my handy mom how I can remove it or we could get in trouble.
Fast forward to a few days ago. I "strip" cleaned my apartment...basically that means I clean every surface, cleaning the TVs, cleaning the bathrooms, doing all laundry, etc. I decided to try again on the burnt area. Mom gave me a little bit of bleach, and I thought that may help. It didn't. I threw the small terry towels on top of a pile of towels. Little did I know that it fell off the "mountain". That night, Roy looked at the floor and saw a small area that the bleach towel has touched...and it was a little lighter than our carpet...oops.
Fast Forward to yesterday - He left the couch to go in the bedroom. The bathroom was in the bedroom area, so I could not tell if he was in the bathroom or on the bed. After 20 to 25 mins has gone by....he comes out beaming. I said to him, "What the heck were you doing for the last half hour?" He says, "I was clipping my nails. I cleaned off the burned marks." I was like, "WTF? I've been trying to clean that for months, how did you do it?" He just shrugged and beamed like his ego was bigger than the apartment. I ran to the tub, and found NO burn marks. I asked him, "Seriously, how did you do it?!". He says, "I used toothpaste. It's a mild abrasive, so I scrubbed for about 10 mins to get that thing off". WHAT? He used toothpaste?! Why didn't he tell me that before? "I just thought of it 10 mins ago!"
Then...he went on his Ego trip...and what a trip it was. I ended up hearing, "Who's the man?! Who's the man?" All I could say was a few choice 4-letter words.
"Now, I'll have to think of something how to fix the bleached stain."
Yes Roy...you're the man.

Harry Potter
Well, I did it. It took a little bit longer to finish, but I finally finished the entire Harry Potter series. In a way I was not surprised by the ending, and in some ways I was. When I closed the book, it left me some questions, but I think that's what J.K. Rowling meant to do so we can create our own stories. I said, "Goodbye Harry" before setting the book down, and dozing off to sleep. It seems to take a long time for me to do the task, but it has to be done. Life goes on. I can only dream what will happen, and I know in the future, I will go through the struggles that Harry did, and struggles to go finish all 7 books in a row with my children, someday.
As much as I wished JK could contiune the series, but it's time to say goodbye for the most beloved character and series of all time. She did it well.
I'm hoping that the next book that she will be working on will be just as good, or she will be screwed.
Whilst I understand why some people do not want to read this book, but there's no reason why. I'm glad that I got to be part of the Harry Potter world from the beginning to the end. It's something that can be passed on in generations.
Good bye, Harry.

Roy's First Bath
I have given both of my cats, Mocha and Hobbes baths since I've gotten them. Mocha is used to it, and Hobbes is starting to. I normally take the "bath" duty. Roy mentioned to me the other day that Mocha's "flaking", which shows me that her skin is a bit dry and she needs a good brush out and a bath. I do it like 4 to 6 times a year.
This time I jokingly asked Roy if he wanted to give Mocha a bath since he was the one that's complaining about the flakiness. "Sure." He says.
I clipped Mocha's nails hours before giving a bath. I explained to him step by step, on how to set up a bath prior soaking her in water. Mocha took the bath like a pro, aside from the crying, she was perfectly good.
Hobbes's turn was after dinner, and he didn't really like it too much, but he took it well.
So yeah, Roy did their baths for the first time.

It's that time again...
It's that time of the year again, NaNoWriMo. Don't know what it is? nanowrimo.org, go check it out.
I must be crazy to attempt a unreachable goal, at least for me. I browsed a little on the site, and found some people were able to plug in couple of thousand words, and a few passed the 10k words mark (wtf?!).
Well, I'm gonna try. This year's novel is a bit autobiographical, with little bits of my crazy ideas in my brain that you really do not want to explore. As of this moment in time, I have done 0 words. Eh, I'll make up for it...tomorrow.
On the other hand, I got Super Princess Peach because it was recommended by a friend. Note to self: Do not buy games because the guy says it's hard. Super easy. Finished it in two days (roughly 4 hours total). It's a cute game, and I've always liked the Super Mario Bros. characters anyways, so none of those Mario/Luigi/Princess Peach games will turn me off, no matter how bad they are.
Got Castlevania for the PSP. It was a bitch to go through several levels to open up the secret game that I wanted to play in the first place.
I'm outta here.
